Cherry Striper

2 3-ounce boxes cherry Jell-O
3/4 cup milk
maraschino cherries with stems or fresh cherries


1. Pour Jell-O powder into two separate bowls. With a parent’s help, add 1 cup boiling water to each bowl and stir until gelatin mix is dissolved.
2. In first bowl, add 3/4 cup cold water. Spoon about 1/2 inch of this mixture into 4 pretty glass cups. Refrigerate 20 minutes to set.
3. While first layer sets, allow the second bowl to cool to room temperature before adding 3/4 cup milk. Stir until smooth.
4. Spoon about 1 inch of this creamy pink mixture on top of the first layer and refrigerate another 20 minutes.
5. Top off the 4 cups evenly with the remaining mixture from the first bowl. Chill 30 minutes. Top with a cherry.
