Homemade Maple Syrup

1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed down
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring


1. Pour both sugars and water in saucepan.
2. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves and syrup comes to a boil, stirring frequently with a wooden spoon. Boil syrup for 1 minute.
3. Remove from heat. Stir in maple flavoring. Makes 1½ cups syrup.
