Very Cherry Cornbread

8.5-ounce box cornbread mix
1/2 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and halved


1. Prepare the cornbread mix, following the directions on the box (don't forget to preheat the oven).
2. Stir in cherries.
3. Grease an 8-inch square pan and pour in mixture.
4. Bake until light brown on top. Let cool and cut into squares.
